last post of 2006

i haven't put up the lastest items i got from the post box on Friday but i do have a nice little story to tell. i forgot to bring my key with me downtown so when i walked up to the counterperson i mentioned that i didn't have my key. he looked right at me and said... " No problem, number 309 right?" i nodded (too shocked to say anything being surprised that he knew my box # by looking at my face. i have only spoke to the man once before) and he walked back to bring me my loot. as he handed me my mail he continued..." i must say, you get the COOLEST mail i've ever seen! we all love to see what you get!!" that of course brought up all the warm fuzzy feelings that i have for all of you fellow mail art people that i have had the pleasure to meet in cyber world. just so ya know... thank you for making this project work!!

i wonder how long they will let me get big pieces of mail before they ask me to rent the larger size box... this one came folded in half to fit inside my teeny post box.

#7 - Cute as a Button!

this is a super great one - a lot of special babies are on this piece!! can you spot me? i'm the one with the curly wild hair. the canvas was small enough to fit in the post box when they put it in the back side but when i tried to pull it out the front thru the tiny door - it got stuck. the lady at the counter happily helped me out and smiled when she looked at what she held in her hand as she passed it over. see? that's what's so great about mail art. you never know who you will make smile along the way!
